Hi Susanna,

I liked your presentation a lot! I think that you highlighted the significance of Gordon Park's photography very well. I think to improve this presentation you could choose less photos to talk about so that you could go more in depth. I think the presentation does effectively include information from Chapter 4 of Criticizing Photographs. I think Gordon Park's work truly emphasizes the importance of challenging stereotypes. His work feels deep and thought provoking. Learning about Gordon Parks makes me want to look at photos more and try to find what the photographer wanted to capture with the image. His work will make me consider exactly what I am trying to do or make a statement about now when I do photography in the future.

Good Job! I very much enjoyed your presentation on Bill Brandt. I found your background information very interesting, as well as mentioned he is one of the most well-known photographers. You also did a great job, explaining his work and matching the pictures with the context. I also enjoyed the great use of descriptive words to describe the images by explaining things like contrast, and the typed of photographs they are. Very well done! I found Bill Brandt and his work to be very interesting. His unique images with the use of distortion are great. I would have no suggestions for the future. Great job!

Good job Megan!!! I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation on Bill Brandt. I liked how you included background information about Brandt and who he is known for. One suggestion for the future would be to place the photograph titles above the images to make it easier to follow. Learning about Bill Brandt has changed the way I view photography by showing me it can artistic but also thought provoking at the same time. His unique use of contrast, shadow, and distortion pushed the boundaries of traditional photography and turned everyday subjects into powerful visual statements.
