Emulating a Professional Photographer

I think my photo on the left was the most successful image because in my opinion it is very similar to August Sander's photo on the right. I also like the dappled lighting. The most challenging aspect of this assignment was finding places that were similar to photograph. Thankfully Delaware has a similar landscape to Sander's photos. In the future, I will give myself more time to discover places to photographs to have more options.
I commented on Ashley Ridler's post (https://aaridler.wixsite.com/my-site-1/post/emulating-a-professional-photographer-blog-post):
Hi Ashley,
I love your image! The plants are super clear and vivid, which contrasts really nicely with the soft, blurry background. The colors and overall composition work really well together. I think you did a great job emulating Erin’s photo, especially in the way you composed the subject.
The main interest in the photo for me is definitely the plants. They’re placed in a way that makes them really stand out. The depth of field adds to that focus and makes the image feel professional and intentional. The focus is perfect for the subject, and the exposure, contrast, and color saturation all look great. The image gives me a happy feeling, kind of like early morning before going off on an adventure. If I had to suggest one small change, maybe adding a little pop of extra color like a small flower could make the image even more interesting.

I really liked this picture! I think you did a really good job at creating an engaging picture especially with making it black and white to show the different shades. I also think it was very good in terms of emulating the photo.
